 According to the latest index published by the Dutch tech specialist, Bengaluru is an Metropolitan city, congested with heavy traffic. Ms. Sindhu, a senior engineer with HCL in Bellandur and a citizen of the Koramangala said that, she used to travel through bus everyday, which  was a main reason for her to reach her office very late. Now she has started doing car pooling, which is also not making much difference. She added on, especially after 8 A.M. Traffic gets too congested since a lot of people start at that particular time, to reach Schools, Colleges and work places.

She also felt that, a lot more bridges should be built, roads should be made wider, proper traffic controls is necessary and people should follow the traffic rules seriously.  She added that people should refrain from using bulky vehicles for only one or two of them and that carpooling and public transportation should be encouraged.

Peak time commuters  spend about 71% of average time waiting in the traffic. Bengaluru had recorded 103% of traffic in 2019.
